Published on an annual basis since 1998, the Indonesia Hotel Industry Survey of Operations is a collaboration between Horwath HTL and the Ministry of Tourism, Indonesian Hotel & Restaurant Association and other local hotel associations. The study is relied upon by hotel operators, owners and operations analysts for benchmarking, budgeting and planning purposes. In 2021, the study attracted a total of 259 participating hotels, which accounted for 48,991 rooms.

Key sections in the study include:

• Detailed departmental revenue, expenses and profitability ratios by rate and location categories.
• Key marketing statistics, including business mix profile and reservation/sales sources.
• Other information pertinent to individual markets, such as food and beverage operation statistics, labor cost/productivity and guest nationality mix.
